The was a nice post from TopRank that had listed their top posts regarding social media and content. All posts were quality if you consider that they wrote these articles earlier in the year and their advice has remained true at the end of this year. Lee Odden gives guidelines on how you can better social media for your company and ultimately the experience for your customers. If you are interested in starting your own audit. As you read through the post, a lot of it makes common sense. However, so many are swept away with the social media craze that sign for every social media outlet and easily become overwhelmed, or spend too much time and resources on one social media outlet that is generating the desired interest and traffic.
I can admit my own mistake of jumping on Pinterest for Tortuga. At the time, it was the craze (and it may still be). However, after taking a step back and giving it some thought, the social media site did not relate to our business and it was time to focus on other media sites.
