Our 5 Favorite Tweets of the Week (Nov 29 – Dec 5)

Alright, its the end of the work week. Time to review some of our favorite tweets that were (somewhat) related to graphic and web design.  We hope that these tweets can be useful, insightful and entertaining as you prepare for Monday.

And if your a dog-lover that clicked on this post because of the featured image with the golden retriever on the phone, hoping to find more ‘dogs on devices’, I apologize. Just scroll down to the bottom and click “A Funky Ode to Putting Down Your Smartphone” to see the dog in the video.

Enjoy.

A Year In Review for Social Media and Content

The was a nice post from TopRank that had listed their top posts regarding social media and content. All posts were quality if you consider that they wrote these articles earlier in the year and their advice has remained true at the end of this year. With that said, keep an eye on future articles posted by TopRank related to trends in social media and content.

Logo Love

‘Tis the season for giving — inspiration. Awesome, awesome, awesome logo. Its clean with meaning. Metric is an architecture and construction studio based in Barcelona.

Its Sounds Good… Right?

You have to love a quote from a philosopher. Going around saying this kind of stuff in the workplace makes you sound that much more intelligent… that is if you can remember it word for word.

How to Audit Your Social Media

This is one of the more useful links this week I’ve found. (Sorry.)

Lee Odden gives guidelines on how you can better social media for your company and ultimately the experience for your customers. If you are interested in starting your own audit. As you read through the post, a lot of it makes common sense. However, so many are swept away with the social media craze that sign for every social media outlet and easily become overwhelmed, or spend too much time and resources on one social media outlet that is generating the desired interest and traffic.

I can admit my own mistake of jumping on Pinterest for Tortuga. At the time, it was the craze (and it may still be). However, after taking a step back and giving it some thought, the social media site did not relate to our business and it was time to focus on other media sites.

Get Off Your Phone!

For that entertainment we seek on a Friday afternoon… waiting for the weekend to start.

This one is for all the people that cannot tolerate people and their cell phones (er, smartphones). As they say — for an intensely ironic experience, watch this on your phone.

Thanks to all that share.

Have an awesome weekend.
