12 Jun SSADH Benefit: Tortuga Joins the Fight
On Sunday June 9th, we had participated in the Wave of Hope – SSADH Benefit. Our company had successfully auctioned off a graphic and web design package valued at $500. Proceeds were donated for raising money for research to fight Succinic Semialdehyde Dehydrogenase Deficiency (SSADH). This benefit was put on by the Le Vine family, whose daughters Amber and Haley along with hundreds of other people worldwide battle this rare disorder. The benefit had been held at The Columns in Avon, NJ.
SSADH is rare, metabolic disorder that has very serious effects on memory and speech. Amber and Haley were the 5th and 6th patients of the 350 worldwide to be diagnosed with it. To join the fight against it and help Amber and Haley Le Vine, please visit the Waves of Hope – SSADH Facebook Page.
